Jockeys Ridge is a nice soundside launch that is in the northern beaches area. To get to the parking lot, take a right onto W. Soundside Road just past the dunes, and go until the road starts to curve to the left. The entrance to the parking area is on the right. Windsurfers must use designated launch area.
November – February 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. March, October 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. April, May, September 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. June – August 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The above times were posted on the website but the above sign says that it closes at 5:00. This pictures was shot in September. Just be out by closing time or your car will spend the night behind the locked gate.
There are no weeds here. Good in S, SW, NW, N winds. Lots of food nearby.
